Nathaniel Badder of Butchers Hill is an artist, author, coach and self-taught photographer who finds great pleasure in the world and enjoys bringing the smallest details to life in new and imaginative ways.
His company, 36 Letters, was born in 2010 when he helped his sister with a school project. The effort resulted in a work of art with a distinctive style that was both urban and refined.
Maintaining that aesthetic, 36 Letters creates photo letter art projects that transform objects found all around us into letters that spell out words and phrases.
From Our Artisans
The benefits of buying a local piece from the Made Gallery means that it was built someone in the Baltimore area. Most of all you are getting something that is hand crafted. I build things that are going to last a lifetime.
I look to natural, geometric shapes to inspire my designs, and often work with the angles cut into the wood from its previous use to influence how the fixture should look
When I started 220 Grit I knew I wanted to use wood that was otherwise earmarked for the trash and once I started digging around, a whole world of this magnificent wood opened up to me.
